Dr. Motoko Komatsu
Founder & Representative Director
Dr. Komatsu is a graduate of Iwate Medical School and completed her medical residency in the United States. She led the Japan launch and Health Practice development for GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.), a leading global expert-network and information services firm, and served as a Medical Advisor for DHC, one of Japan's leading beauty and healthcare brands. She founded TRAMS KK in 2015, works with several clinics across Japan, and serves as an industrial physician to domestic and foreign corporations. Her practice is built around a deep conviction that the best medicine is preventative.
William Todd Porter
Director
Mr. Porter holds a Bachelor's in Economics from Duke University, where he graduated with honors on a merit scholarship, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He began his career as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company and later served as Venture Catalyst for Imagine Media. A Founding Ambassador of the TEDx movement and co-founder of TEDxTokyo, he has gone on to co-found IMPACT Foundation Japan with Dr. Kiyoshi Kurokawa, the innovation hub EDGEof with Taizo Son and others, and is a Founding Director of Venture Café Tokyo and a member of the Cambridge Innovation Center network. He is also a New Zealand Edmund Hillary Fellow.
